The Viale Guidoni project aims to create Florence’s first zero-carbon eco-district, transforming a 4-hectare area into a vibrant, sustainable community. Central to the design is a large green corridor that integrates residential, commercial, and public spaces, fostering both social interaction and environmental responsibility.
The development will feature over 36,000 m² of green areas, including a central park that is isolated from traffic, providing a serene space for relaxation and outdoor activities. The project blends a total of 42.000 m² of buildable area in residential, office, commercial spaces and student accommodation to form a dynamic, self-sustaining community. Two main axes will enhance accessibility across the district, linking key locations like the Palazzo di Giustizia and Cassa di Risparmio.
Innovative features include a small square with photovoltaic panels that light up at night, and recreational spaces such as potential Padel courts. The streetscape will be upgraded with new sidewalks, lighting, and trees, complementing the district’s modern, eco-friendly design.
Located in the northwest of Florence, the site is surrounded by high-density residential buildings. The project prioritizes inclusivity by designing public spaces that encourage social interaction across generations, while incorporating art to enrich the cultural atmosphere.
Viale Guidoni will set a new standard for sustainable urban living in Florence, combining modern design with a strong sense of community and environmental stewardship.
